Drawing inspiration from iconic art movements, particularly abstract paintings, our 'LUNE Circles' vase is a testament to artistic innovation and creativity. The vase features captivating motifs derived from abstract paintings, lending it a sense of dynamic expression and artistic flair.
Production Note
The ceramist meticulously applies black underglaze by hand using a unique 'dripping' technique of black slip before the initial firing. This method imbues the vase with a distinctive aesthetic reminiscent of the fluidity and spontaneity of abstract art.
Following a second firing at 1250°C, a transparent glaze is delicately added to the interior, ensuring a sleek and durable finish. In deliberate contrast, the exterior is left untreated to showcase the natural texture of the clay, while hand-painted black underglaze motifs adorn its surface, creating a harmonious interplay of rawness and refinement.
Each piece is artisanal. So, decorative patterns and shapes may vary subtly, highlighting the authenticity that defines our craftsmanship.
