This plate set is the highlight of one of Korea’s most recognized ceramists, Hayoon Kim’s, recent tableware collection, “Playing Card.” Two plates are characterized by impeccably engraved clover and spade shapes, each with a meticulously hand-painted golden rim. Realizing such a tricky design while keeping the plate sleek and light can only be skillfully executed by a talented ceramic artist like Hayoon Kim. She claims it would have been easier if she had made it thicker and heavier, but she never compromises on quality for anything. Thanks to her great precision and attention to detail we can use this piece of art in our daily life. The unique design is enough to complete plating alone.
