This Maedeup bowl with a handle in the Guidorae knot shape is currently the only dinnerware piece from Korean ceramic artist Hayoon Kim’s most popular collection, “Maedeup.” Starting with a cutlery set, she successfully launched an elegant collection by reinterpreting traditional Korean knots in a contemporary style. Korean knots are symmetrical and three-dimensional. In order to preserve the authenticity of traditional Korean culture while adding a modern touch, she conducted extensive research at the National Museum of Korea for several months. Her excellent aesthetic sense, along with her fine attention to detail and craftsmanship, allows us to incorporate this piece of art into our daily lives. We highly recommend elevating the visual presentation by using the matching cutlery set.
